Nigeria’s Super Sand Eagles kick-off their Copa Lagos Beach Soccer championship title defence against Germany’s Manschaft at the beach front of the Eko Atlantic City today (Friday).
Nigeria will be gunning for a third successive triumph after winning the previous editions in 2011 and 2012 but will first have to line up against the European Beach champions who are competing at the Lagos tournament for the first time.

The match kicks off by 4:15pm Nigerian time.
Meanwhile, three-time African champions, Senegal, (2008, 2011 and 2013) open the tournament by 3:00pm, when they face the Cedars of Lebanon.
Copa Lagos 2013 will be a fusion of the Beach Soccer matches followed by fashion shows and music concerts featuring live performances by some of Nigeria’s foremost artistes. It starts today and ends on Sunday.
