An international child sex abuse investigation in Canada that resulted in the arrests of 348 people and the rescues of 386 children began with a 2010-2011 probe of a Toronto company accused of distributing child pornographic films through the mail and the Internet, Toronto police Inspector Joanna Beaven-Desjardins told reporters Thursday. The business's owner, also accused of paying to have children filmed for the movies in Eastern Europe, has been charged and the business is shut down, Beaven-Desjardins said. More arrests are anticipated, she said.
